Spray Technician / Assistant Sup’t. Trainee The University of Texas Golf Club Austin, Texas
Course Operation: Private Membership, serves as golf venue for UT golf teams, 18 holes, Par 71 – 7,412 course yardage, Tif-Eagle ultra-dwarf bermudagrass greens, Tif-Sport bermudagrass tees, fairways, and rough. $1.3 M maintenance budget, automatic irrigation system.
Duties: Primary duties include post-emergent weed and pest control. Secondary duties include but are not limited to; golf course maintenance, fertilizer and pesticide applications, occasional irrigation maintenance and crew supervision.
Salary: $31,000 /year
Benefits: Paid health insurance, 401K, paid vacation, GCSAA, CTGCSA, TTA dues paid, expense involved in attending local education seminars and meetings, golfing privileges, uniforms, meal provided.
Requirements: Bachelor degree in turfgrass management or related field preferred. Associate degree applicants considered with appropriate experience. Minimum one year golf course maintenance experience or equivalent internship experience. Must be proficient in the appropriate application of pesticides/fertilizers and calibration of application equipment. Must obtain Texas pesticide applicator’s license within three months of hire date. Spanish language skills a plus.
The successful applicant will be a self motivated individual who has demonstrated adequate dedication to the goal of becoming an effective and respected Golf Course Superintendent.

Yoakum County Golf Club Golf Course Equipment Manager
Yoakum County GC is an 18-hole public golf course with a 20-acre park located between Denver City and Plains, TX. It is about 80 miles southwest of Lubbock and north of Odessa.
Basic Job Description: The equipment manager reports to the golf course superintendent and oversees a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. This includes the repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service. The equipment manager properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the superintendent. The equipment manager places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building.
Salary: Starting at $25,935.00/year, also includes Retirement and Health Insurance.
